More tea anyone?

Check Answer

Юля?

Доброе утро, Костя.
Good morning, Kostya.

Доброе.
Good. (It’s common to leave off “утро” in response. Since Kostya is surprised to see her, it comes off as a loss of words.)

Чай будете?
Will you be having tea?

Чай? Буду.
Tea? I’ll have (some).

Notice how few words they use, right? Especially note that it is correct to leave off вы in this situation, when offering someone something.
To include the word Вы would actually express surprise. Like, “You want tea?! (I thought you hated tea!)”

The man in the car is giving directions. His last three words translate as “straight and to the right.” Can you get the rest?

Check Answer

Эээ…А это вам нужно сейчас прямо и направо.
Uh…So, now you need to go straight, and to the right.

Directions like “Go straight, turn right, etc” are much easier to learn through video lessons. Again because I can prompt you visually. It’ll sink in deeper and quicker that way.
